Marine Centre

The John Tonkin Marine Centre is a wonderful resource which allows our students unique access to the many coastal and estuarine based learning programmes our school provides. The John Tonkin Marine training center in Dawesville combines a classroom, a storage facility with a fleet of pacers, numerous tinnies and a center console boat. The centre gives us an educational base to hone students skills in sailing, power-boating, snorkeling, sup boarding and radio operations. Learning experiences which are delivered here supporting our students to achieve their qualifications such as a recreational skippers ticket and more.

The marine centre is great because we’re not confined to the classroom and we get to learn in our natural environment.
